This week in panda class we have continued our drama sessions with Mr Janes from Henry Beaufort School. We created freeze frames of mammals talking to each other trying to change a lightbulb! Some year 5s went to the Henry Beaufort open day and had tours from some of the year 8 pupils there. Some of the year four swimmers learnt ‘sculling’ where they floated on top of the water and travelled across the pool using only their hands. In English we have started to write our own stories in the style of Rudyard Kipling’s ‘Just So’ stories. In maths this week, the year 4s have been tackling the concept of ‘time’ and solving problems about cooking times and train table tables whereas the year 5s have been learning about fractions, decimals and percentages and learning how to use them to solve problems. For ICT we have started to programme our own maze games on Scratch and will continue to work on these next week. We have had a great week but are looking forward to having a long weekend!
