Happy Half-Term

Well done you’ve all made it to half-term! I can see you’ve been busy on Spellodrome. For
the third week running the merit for Year 3 goes to Taylor – congratulations. For an
amazing fourth week running the Year 2 merit goes to Eliana – fantastic work. It was great
to see some of you using Spellodrome for the first time in the last couple of weeks, well
done.
Thanks for the emails showing me the work that you’ve been doing, I really enjoying reading everything that you send through. Eliana you made me laugh out loud with your story about the salmon. I love the way you linked your learning and talked about Mr Butler and his pate, in fact I had to call him in from the kitchen, where he was busy making smoked trout pate, to show him. He said thank you for including him! Eloise that is an amazing piece of collage work, great skills with the sewing machine. Jessica C you have certainly been busy, the baby clinic looked great and I love the fact that you have done a lot of activities with your sister Sophie, even having a go at teaching her, well done.

When I was in school this week we wrote instructions for handwashing. You would be
amazed at some of the instructions that I was given for washing my hands:) but we got
there in the end. I’m expecting you all to be experts by the time I see you next, you should
certainly have had plenty of practise over the last eight weeks.

As nothing soft that can hold onto the virus is allowed in the classrooms after half-term it
looks like Dippy and Polly are going to be staying at my house until September! They are
definitely going to need lots of help getting used to being back in school when that happens, as I’m sure we all will and we’ll have to help each other.
Have a happy, healthy and safe half-term
Love
Mrs Butler
