We are looking for a positive, caring and enthusiastic person to join our established learning support team and work alongside our team of dedicated teachers, predominantly in the Infants.
You will be supporting children in class or individuals/groups of children to provide intervention as directed. You will be required to provide accurate records and daily feedback to the teachers. Previous proven experience of working with primary aged children would be desirable. Further professional development opportunities will be available.
A knowledge of Speech and Language programmes for children is desirable, however training will be given for this element of the role.
You will need good written and oral communication skills and the ability to use your initiative to work self-directed or as part of a team to enable pupils to succeed.
Knowledge of supporting the teaching of phonics would be an advantage.
Applicants should also have:
C grade at GCSE or equivalent in English and Mathematics
The ability to provide evidence of the impact they have had on pupils they have worked with
The ability to work under pressure with good time management skills
A flexible, calm and professional approach
An understanding of the expectations of the Key Stage 1&2 curriculum to enable children to make progress
An understanding of confidentiality and safeguarding procedures.

Harestock Primary school is seeking to appoint an After School Club Assistant and a Breakfast Club Assistant to join the Bumblebees After School club team and Breakfast Club to enhance our extended day child-care provision.
*Welcoming children and helping them to settle in to the session
*During After School Club supporting the children in a wide variety of active games and quieter small group activities including board games, construction, arts and crafts and indoor and outdoor sporting activities
*Clearing away all the play equipment.
*Following procedures to dismiss children to their carer at the end of the After School Club session/helping to escort children to meet the Teacher on duty on the playground at the end of Breakfast Club.
The assistant would work under the guidance of our highly experienced After School Club Leader or Breakfast Club Leader.
